350,000 liters of groundwater were secured this year through our planting. A clean cause, even if not for every pair of pants or boots. At the beginning of November, the DVV Media Group once again took part in the cross-company campaign “Logistics plants the future” organized by the Logistics Initiative Hamburg together with the Climate Sponsorship and reforested the Klövensteen Forest with over 1,500 copper beeches together with over one hundred other participants.

Working in teams of two for half a day, a large area of the forest was combed through and compacted with seedlings at a distance of one meter. In the afternoon, over hot soup and coffee, everyone looked back with satisfaction on their work.
A total of around 10,000 trees have been planted in the last four years as a result of the tree planting campaigns. This means that the formation of approx. 2 million liters of groundwater has been promoted.
In the meantime, the first saplings planted have grown into stately little trees and clearly show the sustainable commitment.
A well-mixed, healthy new forest is now actually growing on the site where a forest was initially hoped for, demonstrating how valuable every little spadeful can be if it is used in a targeted manner.
