New interaction between vehicle and track
The interaction between vehicle and track plays an important role in the digitization of control and safety technology and rail traffic as a whole. After a basic overview, the 22nd International Signal+Draht Congress will focus on this topic area using concrete examples.
The presentations on the first day of the congress range from questions of interaction with ATO to ETCS and CBTC to dealing with branch lines. The panel discussion will once again examine the issue of the overall rail system from different perspectives. The second day of the congress will also focus on communication between the vehicle and the track. After a sideways look at developments in road transport, the focus is on the use of 5G and the future role of mobile networks and their security. With project reports on the LST-related aspects of the Digital Automatic Coupler and the Brenner Base Tunnel, a look at practical applications rounds off the program.
This year’s congress will also include the presentation of the Signal+Draht Lifetime Achievement Award to an outstanding personality in the LST industry.
In addition to on-site participation in Fulda with the opportunity for exchange and personal discussions, digital participation via livestream is also possible as an alternative.
