On 9 December, the **Zukunft.DEFENCE** conference took place at the Rheinische Post conference centre in Düsseldorf. Around 130 participants from politics, the armed forces, business and academia discussed the changed security situation and the role of civil industry in the overall national security architecture.
The focus was on three topics: Germany’s security policy classification, strengthening industrial capacities and technologies for greater resilience, and new partnerships between the state and industry. Speakers included representatives from the Federal Ministry of Defence, the German Armed Forces, the ZVEI, defence companies and the civil industry.
The event was organised by **publish-industry**, the **DVV Media Group** with **griephan**, the **Rheinische Post** and the **ZVEI e. V.**. The great willingness to engage in dialogue and the positive feedback show that Zukunft.DEFENCE has struck a chord – and is set to continue in 2026 with even more exchange and networking.
