European Newspaper Award: DVZ receives four awards

The Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung has once again swept the board at Europe’s most important layout awards. Among other things, prizes were awarded for the creative design of a special supplement on risk management and the cover design on cybercrime.

A newspaper does not thrive solely on informative texts; visual presentation is also extremely important in order to present a topic in an exciting way – and this is also true at DVZ. At this year’s European Newspaper Awards, the jury honoured four graphic design concepts submitted by DVZ art director Andreas Voltmer.

These included the cover story on the 3PL business with a ranking of globally active companies and an infographic on biofuels.

In the ‘Visualisation’ category, the cover design on the topic of cybercrime and the XXL special issue on ‘Managing Risks’ also received awards.

The European Newspaper Award is organised by newspaper designer Norbert Küpper. It is considered the largest newspaper competition in Europe.
